I want to help you learn more about editing subtitles in this video.

In the previous videos, we talked about adding new words. But I want to get your attention to some other tips about it.

Sometimes there are some missed words in the subtitle.

As you see, we need to add a few words to this sentence.

The speaker says, “in the memory of good old days.” So here, we need to add three more words to the subtitle.

As I said before, the best way to add consecutive words to subtitles is to do them one by one, which means first, you must add the first word and edit it and sync it in the timeline. Then hit the plus icon in front of the first word to add the second word, edit it, sync it in the timeline, and so on.

I hit the plus icon in front of “memory,” and as you see, we have “Word” after “memory.” So now I edit “Word” and change it into “of.”

Now I need to sync “of” in the timeline, and you also need to re-sync the previous word, “memory.”

As we heard in the video, we need three new words here. So now we have two choices. First, we can hit the plus icon in front of “memory” three times. But this way, these three words will add lots of density to the small place of the timeline, and then putting them in the right place will cause significant trouble. Second, add words one by one, which means first, you must add the first word and edit it and sync it in the timeline, and then hit the plus icon in front of the first word and add the second word and edit it and sync it in the timeline and so on.

So here I hit the plus icon in front of “of,” which I’ve just added, and add our new word. Then edit and change it into “the,” and I sync the word “the,” and we need to re-sync “of” in the timeline.

To add the third word, I hit the plus icon in front of “the” to add our new word, and then I edit and change this new word into “good .”

Then in the timeline, I sync the start and end time of this word and re-sync “the” as well.

Finally, I need to check the whole sentence, So I change “A” into “In” and then change the “doll” into “old .” And finally, hit the “Save” button at the top of the page and save our changes.

Alright, that’s enough for now, but there will still be other videos about subtitle editing in the following videos.

Have a fantastic time, and bye till the next video.
